November wrap up!

Good morning everyone!

I wanted to get this post up yesterday, but it didn’t happen. November was quite the month, and though I enjoy being super busy, NaNoWriMo and everything else that was going on left me completely drained. So, I suppose I’ll start out by talking about NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month. During the month of November a person sits down and writes 50,000 words of new fiction. This was my third year doing it, and my first year as a Municipal Liaison, or ML. What a ML does is organize write ins, creates pep-talks and basically checks in on the entire county for the duration of the month of November. I live in Pierce County Washington, and we’re not a massive county, but we’ve got a lot of ground to cover. I didn’t do it alone of course, one of my friends was a ML with me. But we were gone all weekend, holding write ins on Saturdays and Sundays all over the county. We had a kick off party, and our own night of writing dangerously (titled the Final Countdown), and on Saturday we’re hosting a TGIO party. It was one of the most fun and challenging things I’ve done in a long time. I think next year I’ll blog more about NaNo and my experiences being ML. Oh, and for the record I did win NaNoWriMo with 150,202 words. I’m waiting to start on edits.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun, my parents and I had a family friend over for dinner. We all ate entirely too much, and spent the rest of the night in food comas talking about good wine and books. I spent a bit of money on Black Friday, but who could pass up buy one get one free sweaters? Not this lady that’s for sure. My November posting was  a bit sporadic, and I’m going to work on that some more. I did get the chance to read some amazing books, some not so amazing books, and reviewed both categories for you. I did a couple of Top Ten Tuesdays which were a lot of fun, and I started a new piece for Wednesday Briefs.

I’ve got some great things planned for December, along with a great TBR pile for this month. I’m currently reading 1984 by George Orwell, I’ll probably finish it today, for The Classics Club and then I ‘ll get into some other books. Outside of the blogging world, I’m going to be hosting NaNo’s Thank God It’s Over party on the 7th, and earlier that day I’m doing a 5k with my mom. We’re also having a Christmas party later on in the month, and some awesome Girl Scout activities (I have a blended brownie and Daisy troop).  I’m going with a few friends to see Florida Georgia Line in concert, and I’m super excited about that. Plus, my brother will be home for a couple weeks so I’ll get to spend some time with him and hang out.

What was your favorite thing about November? Tell me about the awesome books you’ve read. Any neat plans for December?

I am doing a couple of photo-a-day challenges, and if you’re interested in seeing those, you can check me out on Instagram. Click the pink circle with a camera  in the upper right hand side of my blog and that will take you to my instagram profile.    I’m always playing around with that app.
