Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke and Bookish. Each week the bloggers at The Broke and The Bookish put out a topic, and discuss their top ten options for said topic. This week it’s all about the top ten books of x-genre (you pick). This should be a fun one to poke around other blogs and get more recommendations for my tbr list.
I picked the Top Ten Picks of the Fantasy Genre!
Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L’Engle. Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce Shannara series by Terry Brooks So You Want to Be a Wizard by Diane Duane The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers By J.R.R. Tolkien.
Fire in the Blood by Dale Ibitz. Obscura Burning by Suzanne Van Rooyen Stardust by Neil Gaiman Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.
I picked the fantasy genre because it’s one that I’m automatically drawn to. Many of these books have amazing narration, strong characters, strong female characters and blend the lines between fantasy and reality beautifully. Some of these books I read when I was younger, and they’ve just stuck with me throughout the years.
Tell me about your top ten books! Share some of your favorite genre with me. If you’ve also done a Top Ten Tuesday Post go ahead and link it in the comments below. π
Daughter of Smoke and Bone! BEAUTIFUL and wonderful. And OMG So You Want To Be A Wizard! The only library book I have ever lost….hahaha! And I never got to finish it! I should probably go back and do that! =)
