Sunday rundown.

I’ve been a little scatterbrained these past weeks, and I haven’t posted nearly as much content as I wanted to. I’ve been really busy didn’t get a chance to update a lot. If you want to keep up with me, feel free to follow me on instagram and twitter. Here’s a small sampling of what I’ve been up to. 🙂

Starting from the top left and moving down: I made bath truffles. Essentially they’re bath products that you drop into the hot water, they fizz a bit and color the water and add skin loving oils and clays to your bath. These are scented with cranberry, pomegranate, and lemon–they smell like sweet tarts candy.
*These were some cherry blossoms that I paused to take a picture of on my way to work.
*The hard hat getup is from working with the girl scouts. We planted some plants along one of the major roads in town. 900 native plants were used as landscaping. It was dirty, hard work but so worth it.
* This is Max, my German Shepherd. I took this on Easter, as it was sunny and warm. He was enjoying the sunshine and rolling around in the grass.
* Apple blossoms on my way to work.
* I got a new tattoo. This was my third, and done on impulse with a friend of mine. It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time. Fiction is referring to what I write, and it’s a tribute to one of my favorite bands.

Today I went on a road trip with a couple of friends, and we went to the tulip festival. It was a lot of fun going through all the various gardens and fields looking at all of the beautiful blooms. That lower right hand picture? That’s my lunch. Under the layer of cheese and olives and caramelized onions there’s a tuna melt.

It’s been super busy these past two weeks, but I’ve had so much fun. I’m really looking forward to a laid back, quiet week.

Sunday Rundown (Also known as things that make me happy)

This week was a little ridiculous with what I had to do, it was super busy and I’m not sure that even after taking it easy today I’ll be recovered and ready for next week. It was mainly a mish-mash of lots of little things that needed to get done. Though, yesterday I spent all day at Emerald City Comicon. It was so much fun, and the group I went with is already talking about next year. We only went for one day, and I think next year we’re going all three days.

I did get my package from the Mug-o-Comfort swap that’s put on by Chaotic Goddess Swaps

And this is what I got!

I’m really excited to try the chai tea. I’ve seen it in stores and have been super curious about it. I might make a cup while I read today.

My swap partner was Kenzie from Life & Lemons I was really excited when I saw that she’s also from Washington. She’s got a really great blog where she talks about life on the farm, and her day to day life. She has some really beautiful posts where she showcases things that make her happy. Her blog is a great read, full of inspiration, beautiful images and just great stories. I highly suggest you check her out.
